Introducing the C4 Fabrication Tundra Overland Series Front Bumper for the 3rd Gen Toyota Tundra (2022+). Built for serious overlanding, this bumper protects the front end while carefully preserving the truck’s safety and sensor systems. It’s designed for rugged trails and heavy-duty winching setups, without compromising core driver-assistance features.
Safety and sensor compatibility
- Retains full functionality of Toyota Safety Sense, park sensors, and front-mounted camera. All bull bar options are compatible with TSS.
- Low-Height and Mid-Height bull bars are visible in the front camera view but do not completely block the camera.
- TSS recalibration may be required after installing the aftermarket bumper, especially if sensors are moved from their original location. A calibrated setup helps maintain reliable sensor performance.
- Parking sensors must be oriented correctly per the install video to avoid malfunction. The truck should sit level for optimal sensor positioning; excessive forward rake can make sensors more sensitive.
Construction, fit, and finish
- 3/16" laser-cut P&O steel with 1/4" thick mounting plates and 1/4" thick winch plate for rigidity and long-term durability.
- 3/4" thick D-Ring tabs are standard and fully welded to the bumper (front and back) for reliable recovery points.
- Bull bar tubing is.120" wall with 1 3/4" and 1 1/2" diameter HREW tubing for added protection and to accommodate accessories.
- Includes a front skid plate that replaces the factory plastic skid plate, enhancing underbody protection during off-road use.
- Light cutouts are a standard feature and cannot be removed, designed to accommodate a 40" single-row Baja Designs S8 light bar.
- Designed to fit one pair of Baja Designs Squadron fog lights; OE fog lights cannot be reused.
- Bumper will fit LP9s on all options except the low bar, but will not come pre-drilled for LP9 mounting.
- Requires trimming: the plastic bumper panels under the headlight on each side must be cut, and the end of the fender flares trimmed to install.
- Bumper has holes to reattach factory fender liners for a clean, stock-like finish.
- Powder-coated finish is available; otherwise, the bumper must be painted or powder coated before installation to prevent rust.
Lighting, winching, and accessories
- Supports a 40" Baja Designs S8 light bar with dedicated cutouts that are part of the bumper design.
- Winch compatibility spans most 8,000–12,000 lb units. Verified fitments include WARN VR and ZEON 10k–12k winches; Smitty XRC 12k is not compatible.
- Best practice recommends a synthetic rope with a hawse-style fairlead for optimal fit and function; some roller fairleaders may be too large for the recessed fairlead mounting plate.
Weight, variants, and installation notes
- Weight varies by configuration: 160 lbs (no bar), 168 lbs (low bull bar), 174 lbs (mid-height with gussets), 182 lbs (full bull bar with headlight hoops).
- Installation video provides detailed, step-by-step guidance to help with alignment, sensor positioning, and mounting.
- Note: Aftermarket bumpers may require sensor recalibration; ensure the vehicle is level during sensor installation for optimal results.
